In RE Elderflowers are learning about the Christian Festival of Lent. We learned that Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday. Christians choose to 'give up' something for Lent because they are inspired by the story of Jesus giving up food and water for 40 days and 40 nights.  We tried some pancakes and discussed things we are grateful for and things we waste. We talked about what we would give up.
